Thanks to Erin Lueders ’15 for her update from abroad!
“Three weeks ago I traveled with my Public Health class to Tallinn, Estonia, and Helsinki, Finland, to study their public health systems for a week. The week was incredible and full of so much information. We looked at the role of the General Practitioner in each country and their role as a "gate keeper." This has been a common theme for my class throughout the semester. In the Danish system, the GP serves a gate-keeping function so as to control the use, over-use and misuse of the health care system.”
